This design highlights the Hilo anthurium. This is NOT the flower of Hawaii island but a very nostalgic plant. If you're from Hilo, you know. The palaka pattern is not only a popular pattern but holds a place near and dear to my husband's family. This design is being showcased first at Bujo Bae's first Merrie Monarch event.
